After you have shared out your photographers, share your ideas for your Art as Activism series. 
Ask for feedback and write down your peers' thoughts:
1. Does this idea make sense?
2. What ideas and images came to mind when I was telling you about my series? 
3. Do you have any ideas to add to my series?  Location?  Approach? Point of View?

Art as Activism Series due:

Investigate three contemporary photographers who use their photography as a way of communicating need for change. Write the name of the photographer in your photo journal.  Describe their work, making sure to read artist statements and articles written about the photographer.  
Example:
1. Susan Purple
Photos of blue jays in various locations to challenge the viewer's perception of what is and what isn't nature.  Most of the blue jay photos are in man made locations to showcase the adaptability of the bird to it's changing environment. 

When you have looked at three photographers and recorded their work in your photo journal, brain storm a list potential photo shoots you may do for this assignment (activism).  Write down fears, hopes, and ideas for each photo shoot idea.
